Introduction
“Litigation Holds and Collection: Best Practices and Strategies” is a one hour CLE program offered by BlueStar to law firms and corporate clients. The presentation focuses on the application of best practices in the application of litigation holds and addresses the legal issues associated. Litigation holds and collection are discussed from the legal perspective, exploring the early decisions and best practices a practitioner needs to address for their client. The technical aspects of litigation holds are highlighted by looking at software platforms used to identify, preserve, and collect relevant case data in the litigation process. Jeremy Schaper CCST, CCSA, CCFA and Matthew Minor, JD present their unique experience and perspective on this popular subject.
About the Speakers

Matthew Minor is the newest member of the BlueStar team, joining the company as Chief General Counsel and head of the Legal Staffing Division in July 2009. Mr. Minor has been practicing for thirteen years, ten years of which have been dedicated to large-scale electronic litigation consultation and project management. He gained valuable experience in the law firm setting, with three years each as an attorney with Sidley Austin LLP and Sonnenschein Nath. Mr. Minor also has four years of experience as an independent litigation consultant, managing document review teams for various firms including Kirkland & Ellis, Skadden Arps, and Sidley Austin (prior to joining the firm). He has extensive case management experience and a proven ability to manage other attorneys, from small groups to dozens of team members. His knowledge in regard to E-Discovery, litigation management, and discovery software products helps to produce an efficient and accessible document review and production for his clients.

Jeremy Schaper, a founder and Principal at BlueStar Case Solutions, Inc. (BlueStar), has a decade of legal industry software training and instructional design experience which includes CT Summation, LexisNexis Concordance End-User Trainer, Administrator, and FYI Administrator certifications. Mr. Schaper conducts training for legal professionals at many Am Law Top 100 Firms throughout the country and speaks before numerous industry groups about legal technology and vendor services. Following his accomplishments as an in-house trainer at Winston and Strawn, Mr. Schaper helped launch BlueStar in 2003. BlueStar is a resource for litigation support, electronic discovery, forensic email analysis and compliance solutions, document imaging and coding, software training/sales, document hosting, legal staffing, and custom solutions for the legal industry.
